Shared Waters We Fish
River · Los Alerces area: fished by both Futaleufu and Trevelin · Trout to 18 inches
Meanders roughly 30 miles before merging with the Rio Grande, alternating between freestone and spring-creek character.
The Corintos meanders about 30 miles before merging with the Rio Grande: a walk-and-wade river best suited to a light rod. Fish here aren't always big, but an 18-inch trout on a dry fly is a real possibility, and the water alternates between freestone runs and spring-creek-like stretches. It's an easy, scenic river to spend a slower day on.
