The Corcovado runs more than sixty miles before crossing into Chile, where it becomes the legendary Palena. It's classic trout water, fed by Lago Vinter and holding some of the biggest brown trout of the season alongside strong rainbows. The lower stretches near Corcovado town are riffle-heavy and fast: streamers, big dries, and nymphs all have their place, and the current here breeds fish that fight like it.
