Shared Waters We Fish
River · Central Patagonia: also fished by Trevelin · Rainbow, brown, and brook trout, landlocked salmon (18+ inch average)
Flows from Lago Rivadavia to Lago Verde. Not to be confused with Rivadavia Lodge: same word, different thing.
The Rivadavia is regarded as one of Argentina's finest rivers: five miles of crystal-clear water running from Lago Rivadavia to Lago Verde, lined with beech trees and deadfall that make for tight, technical casting. Fish average over 18 inches and fight hard. Sight fish small nymphs, drop large dries along the logs, or swing streamers under the banks for the browns holding there. A spring creek feeding in adds another layer of sight-fishing water. Rainbows, browns, brook trout, and landlocked salmon are all in play; it's a river experienced anglers tend to name first.
